Job summary

Penguin Random House UK is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Transformation team in London on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will lead the discovery and implementation of a File Management project, guiding migration and adoption across the organisation.

You will combine data analysis with stakeholder engagement to map current and future file management practices, define changes, and deliver evidence-based recommendations and migration plans.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Business Analyst or similar analytical/change role.
• Strong data analysis and structured problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading business process discovery and analysis across teams.
• Excellent workshop and stakeholder interview facilitation.
• Ability to map and document current and future processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyse file storage data to understand volumes, usage, age and patterns, and provide clear insights.
• Lead discovery with teams through workshops and interviews to understand current file structures and processes.
• Identify opportunities to simplify file management and improve access and sharing.
• Translate findings into practical recommendations for retention, archiving and migration.
• Collaborate with Transformation, Strategic Projects and Technology to support implementation.
