Job summary

The Selection Partnership Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Senior Engineer / Service Manager in London to lead service operations across multiple sites, own the service desk, and drive a first-class client experience.

You will manage a field service team, coordinate maintenance, and ensure SLA adherence while building preventive maintenance plans and optimizing parts flow. This role requires a UK-based candidate with a driving licence and a flexible hybrid work setup, including two days at Head Office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a service management or field operations role, preferably in vending, catering equipment, or similar industries.
• Solid technical understanding of vending machines, refrigeration units, or electromechanical systems.
• Experience managing technical teams and coordinating service across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Own the service desk, leading a responsive team that handles client requests, breakdowns, and maintenance queries promptly.
• Lead, coach, and schedule a team of field service engineers, ensuring SLAs are met.
• Analyze metrics like response times and first-time fix rates to drive improvements.
• Develop preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to keep machines running smoothly.
• Ensure spare parts flow supporting fast repairs and lean stockholding.
• Be the go-to person for escalated client issues with confidence and care.
• Create and refine processes to deliver consistently excellent service.
• Collaborate with sales and operations to align service strategy with business direction.
• Report on performance, productivity, and client feedback to raise the bar.
