Job summary

Kelling Group is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to cover the South of the UK. The role is field-based, focusing on servicing, repairing and maintaining welfare equipment at customer sites while providing technical leadership to the engineering team.

You will manage a team of 5-6 engineers, handle day-to-day escalation, recruitment input, coaching and support, and ensure health and safety compliance. The position offers a strong development culture and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service engineering within health, welfare or related equipment.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.
• Commitment to health and safety standards and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs across welfare equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults safely and efficiently.
• Complete planned maintenance, breakdowns, inspections and emergency call-outs.
• Ensure work is in line with company standards, manufacturer specs and health & safety rules.
• Maintain high first-time fix rates and minimise repeat visits.
• Document work accurately and identify recharge opportunities.
