Job summary

Vanderlande in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to lead electro-mechanical fault-finding, perform maintenance, and deliver on-site resolutions for material handling equipment across the distribution domain. This permanent UK-remote role sits in the Mobile Service Team and reports to the Senior Team Leader.

You will coordinate fault-correction activities, review system performance, and uphold health and safety regulations while building strong customer relationships

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 or above in maintenance mechanical / electrical discipline.
• Strong technical knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and controls.
• Experience with fault-finding and maintenance in field service environments.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Desirable Maximo CMMS experience; PLCs/FSCs familiarity is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide leading technical response and tele-support for complex electro-mechanical issues.
• Coordinate fault-correction activities with operations managers.
• Review system performance daily and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain documentation and ensure Health & Safety compliance.
• Lead Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities.
• Build strong customer relationships and coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams.
• Promote safety culture and drive continuous improvement.
