Job summary

Recruitment Helpline Ltd is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to service mobile welfare units across customer sites and hire fleets. You will diagnose faults, repair generators, plumbing, electrical systems and telemetry while working safely and unsupervised.

The role is van-based with UK travel, requiring a strong problem-solving mindset and clear on-site communication with customers. Training and company van provided.

Qualifications

• Proven multi-skilled field service / mobile-mechanic background (welfare units, generators, plant, HGV, marine, motorhome/leisure).
• Diesel engine fault-finding and servicing (small industrial engines).
• 12V/24V DC electrical fault-finding and wiring skills using a multimeter.
• Confident reading fault data/telemetry from remote diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Attend, diagnose and repair mobile welfare cabins in the field.
• Interpret remote telemetry data before arriving on-site.
• Fault-find and repair generators, power systems, heating and water modules.
