Job summary

Kevin Edward Associates is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to support customers around Melksham and the surrounding territory, operating from the Melksham depot. You will perform servicing, preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on materials handling equipment at customer sites.

This role suits an engineer who enjoys working independently, solving technical problems and delivering high standards of service while minimising downtime for customers.

Qualifications

• Strong fault-finding and repair capabilities in mechanical systems.
• Working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience servicing mobile equipment or machinery.
• Ability to diagnose faults methodically and perform repairs.
• Capable of independent field workload management and customer communication.
• Good attention to detail in service documentation.
• Commitment to health & safety practices.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and routine servicing on materials handling equipment.
• Attend customer breakdowns and diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete repairs efficiently and to required standards to minimise downtime.
• Carry out component replacement and identify additional maintenance.
• Complete equipment and safety checks in line with procedures.
• Accurately complete service reports and job sheets.
