Away Resorts is seeking an experienced Event Operations Manager for Piperdam, Dundee. You will lead operational delivery across weddings, corporate events and resort functions, ensuring seamless execution and guest-focused service.

You will manage staff, coordinate with departments and maintain high standards of safety, billing and efficiency, while driving revenue and continuous improvement in guest experiences.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in an Event Operations Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar leadership role, ideally within a guest-focused hospitality or leisure environment.
• Experience within weddings, events, hospitality or hotel operations.
• Naturally warm, welcoming and passionate about delivering standout guest experiences.
• Able to prioritise and manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to connect with guests, clients and team members in a positive and professional way.
• Calm under pressure, solution-focused and able to keep the guest experience at the heart of every decision.
• Commercially aware with a good understanding of labour control, budgeting and revenue management.
• Flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays in line with business needs.

• Competent in Microsoft Office and hospitality management systems.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the day-to-day operational delivery of events and functions across the resort.
• Lead pre-event briefings and operational meetings with relevant teams.
• Be present during events to oversee operations and resolve any issues quickly and professionally.
• Act as the main operational contact for clients and guests on the day of their event.
• Lead, motivate and support the Food & Beverage team to deliver outstanding service.
• Recruit, train and develop team members, creating a positive and high-performing working environment.
• Prepare staff rotas in line with business demands and payroll budgets.
• Provide regular coaching, feedback and performance reviews to support individual development.
• Encourage effective communication and teamwork across all departments.
• Lead by example, promoting professionalism, accountability and excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing and food hygiene regulations.
• Maintain accurate operational records.
