Job summary

Fairmont St Andrews is seeking an experienced Event Operations Manager to lead the Events Operations team across conferences, banquets, private dining and large-scale celebrations at our luxury resort in St Andrews.

You will own event delivery from planning through service, maintaining exceptional guest experiences and cost controls while collaborating with Culinary, F&B and Technical Services teams. Evening and weekend shifts are required in this dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship abilities.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, staffing and costs.
• Ability to manage multiple events and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of conferences, banquets, private dining and events.
• Lead and develop the Event Operations team, creating a positive work environment.
• Ensure event planning considers staffing, equipment, layouts and service requirements.
• Ensure spaces are prepared accurately and on time per BEOs and standards.
• Take a visible leadership role during events, resolving issues promptly.
• Build strong relationships with clients and guests, addressing concerns professionally.
• Collaborate with Events Planning, Culinary, F&B and Technical Services teams for seamless delivery.
• Manage rotas, payroll, staffing levels and departmental costs.
• Monitor inventories and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Ensure health, safety and licensing compliance across all events.
