Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Estimator/Estimator to support complex infrastructure projects across infrastructure, transport and energy markets. You will produce estimates from feasibility to detailed design, ranging from order-of-magnitude to bottom-up approaches, and contribute to bids and client submissions.

You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, mentor colleagues, and apply risk allowances and cost breakdown techniques to deliver high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction sectors or Equivalent Work Experience.
• Chartership with or working towards RICS, ICE, AACE, ACostE or similar.
• Understanding of contingency and risk allowances.
• Knowledge of indirect costs, cost breakdown structures and techniques to analyse and assess project deliverability.
• Stakeholder engagement with designers, engineers, project managers and clients.
• Understanding of consultancy organisations' role across sectors and disciplines.
• Capability to obtain security clearance (ideal).

Responsibilities

• Produce estimates from feasibility through detailed design (Class 5 to Class 1).
• Support win-work activities (bids, proposals) to grow our portfolio.
• Provide input to continuously improve the quality of deliverables for clients.
• Support development of a high performing team with regional leadership.
• Demonstrate proficiency in estimating methods and software.
• Review outputs and draft basis-of-estimate reports for Director reviews.
