Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Greater London seeks an Associate Director / Estimating Manager to lead the estimating function across infrastructure projects. You will deliver estimates from feasibility to detailed design, guiding a high-performing team and supporting bids to grow the portfolio.

You will apply advanced estimating methods, manage specialist data, and engage with designers, engineers and clients to ensure robust cost advice and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Estimating, QS, Engineering, Construction or equivalent.
• Chartership with or working towards RICS, ICE, AACE or similar.
• Strong understanding of contingency and risk allowances.
• Wide understanding of indirect costs and cost breakdown structures.
• Stakeholder engagement with designers, engineers, project managers and clients.
• Ability to work across multiple sectors and disciplines; adaptable to learn new skills.
• Capability to obtain security clearance (ideal).

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating service delivery from feasibility through to detailed design.
• Produce Class 5 to Class 1 estimates for diverse projects.
• Support leadership in win-work activities (bids/proposals) to grow the portfolio.
• Provide input to continuously improve the quality of deliverables.
• Develop a high performing team and support regional leadership.
• Oversee full take-offs and ensure high-quality client outputs.
• Author basis-of-estimate reports for director reviews and client submissions.
• Lead peer reviews and drive continuous improvement in outputs.
