AtkinsRéalis UK Limited seeks an Associate Director / Estimating Manager to lead complex infrastructure estimating across UK and international markets. You will drive from feasibility to detailed design, manage bids, and deliver high-quality client outputs while developing a high-performing team.

The role requires chartership or progression toward RICS/ICE/ACostE, strong cost breakdown and risk management skills, and the ability to work across sectors with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction sectors or Equivalent Work Experience.
• Chartership with or demonstrably working towards RICS, ICE, AACE, ACostE or similar.
• Strong understanding of contingency and risk allowances.
• Knowledge of commercial and contractual requirements and their impact on estimating or forecasting costs.
• Deep knowledge of indirect costs, cost breakdown structures and analysis techniques.
• Stakeholder engagement with designers, engineers, project managers and clients.
• Ability to work across multiple sectors and disciplines and learn new skills.
• Security clearance capability or eligibility (ideal).

Responsabilités

• Lead estimating service delivery from feasibility through to detailed design.
• Work across projects of different types and sectors.
• Produce Class 5 (order of magnitude) to Class 1 (detailed) estimates.
• Support leadership in win work activities to grow the portfolio.
• Ensure high-quality client outputs and peer reviews for continuous improvement.
• Develop a high-performing team and support regional leadership.
• Oversee take-offs and cost estimation processes.
• Author basis-of-estimate reports for Director reviews and client submissions.
• Utilise estimating software and client benchmarking data for accurate estimates.
• Lead internal quality assurance and governance for client deliverables.
