Job summary

A local authority in Hampshire is looking for a Senior Estate Surveyor for an initial 6-month contract based in Basingstoke. The role involves managing investment portfolios, negotiating lettings, and overseeing estate management for multi-let properties. The successful candidate will have experience in landlord-tenant matters and budgeting. This is a full-time position with a hybrid work model of 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, offering a daily rate of £400 - £450 via umbrella.

Job description

Local authority in Hampshire currently require a senior estate surveyor for an initial period of 6 months.

Role Purpose

• Carrying out day to day investment portfolio duties arising from the commercial assets (both directly let properties and some ground leased properties) including;
• Rent reviews, negotiating new lettings, lease renewals & generally dealing with all landlord and tenant matters arising including processing applications for landlord's consent, surrenders and dilapidations.
• Estate management of multi-let properties including managing service charges and budgeting, overseeing Letting Agents (where already appointed), debt monitoring and income management.
• Inputting into Project Groups where these involve the role's managed portfolio/ and or input on behalf of the Property Team.
• Undertaking valuations as required.
