A leading infrastructure company in Birmingham seeks a Senior Environmental Specialist to manage and enhance soft estate assets. You will coordinate projects and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure environmental compliance. The ideal candidate has a relevant degree, strong project management skills, and experience in environmental asset decision making. At National Highways, we are proud custodians of diverse habitats within our soft estates. These linear habitats integrate the Strategic Road Network (SRN) into the landscape and provide vital corridors for protected species. We are passionate about managing these assets responsibly, and we are looking for a Senior Environmental Specialist to join our Environment Team in the Midlands.
In this role, you will have specific responsibility for managing a portfolio of works for the Midlands SRN, supporting delivery of asset needs and contributing to improving the condition of the soft estate asset to benefit landscape, biodiversity and interoperability across all assets.
Please note that you will be required to drive as part of your role, and you will need to have no more than 3 points to be considered for this position and during employment.

External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
