Job summary

ScottishPower in Cambuslang is seeking a Lead Engineering Project Manager for Core Projects Design. You will lead the engineering design process for transmission projects from concept through detailed design, coordinating internal and external resources and ensuring governance.

You will mentor project engineers and PMs, act as SME, and drive compliance with standards while managing budgets, bids, and stakeholder interfaces. A Chartered Engineer with strong leadership is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Chartered Engineer or working towards membership.
• Extensive experience in transmission infrastructure design and project management.
• Strong planning, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage design houses.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design process for transmission projects from concept to detailed design.
• Coordinate internal and external design resources and ensure governance.
• Provide technical guidance and SME support to engineers and PMs.
• Lead technical reviews and ensure compliance with ENA, IEC, BS standards.
• Oversee tender assessments and budgeting for projects.
