Job summary

Scottish Power Transmissions is recruiting a Lead P&C Design Engineer for Cambuslang on a contract basis. The role focuses on developing and delivering Protection and Control engineering solutions for high voltage transmission networks and providing technical support throughout project lifecycles.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, be or working towards Chartered status, and possess strong communication and leadership skills with UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with relevant experience.
• Proven experience in electrical infrastructure projects.
• People management experience.
• UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Protection and Control solutions for transmission networks (132kV and above).
• Define technical and economic criteria to ensure quality and safety standards are achieved and maximise profitability.
• Provide engineering consultancy to other parts of the business and support project teams on design issues.
