Job summary

Gortmore Ltd is searching for a Senior Engineer to lead an RC project in the Edgware area. You will ensure works meet the latest design and specifications, maintain QA, and keep the site diary up to date.

The role requires coordinating with designers and site engineers, monitoring information flow, and using AutoCAD to read drawings and quantify materials. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience on RC structures and construction methods.
• Ability to read drawings and quantify materials.
• Experience liaising with designers and site teams.
• Maintain project QA and site diary.
• Competent in AutoCAD and setting out.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and distribute project information to site engineers.
• Ensure works conform to latest design and specifications.
• Carry out ITPs, KPIs, and RFIs.
• Maintain accurate setting out and dimensional control.
• Ensure QA processes and site diaries are kept.
• Coordinate with designers and manage rebar ordering.

Gortmore are working with a leading contractor who are looking for a Senior Engineer on a RC project in the Edgware area. Please make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.

The Candidate Must

• Have Previous experience working on RC Structures, service/drainage installation, etc.
• Must be competent in ordering Rebar and be able to Liaise with designers regarding detailing.
• Must have previous experience working with designers.
• Monitoring, manage, distribute project information to several site Engineer’s and ensure accurate setting out and dimensional control is being carried out.
• Ensure the works are constructed to latest design and agreed Specification.
• Ensure Project QA is being carried out and site diary is maintained.
• Must be competent in Auto Cad, reading drawings and quantifying/ordering materials such as Concrete, rebar, drainage/earthworks materials etc.
• Carry out ITP’s, KPI’s, RFI’s, etc.
• Must be competent in Auto Cad and reading drawings.
• Have excellent communication skills and in distributing project information to work colleagues.
• Have excellent problem-solving capabilities and be able to raise any potential issues
