Job summary

Keyman Personnel is seeking a Freelance Senior Engineer to lead Groundworks and RC Frame work on a major UK project. The role covers setting out, supervising junior engineers, and managing required paperwork.

You will oversee progress, ensure quality and maintain safety standards while coordinating with clients, subcontractors and project staff on schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant Groundworks and RC Frame experience.
• Experience in a senior engineering role.
• Excellent leadership and team management.
• CSCS Card and a valid UK driving license.
• SMSTS and First Aid certificates would be advantageous.

Keyman Personnel, a renowned recruitment agency in the construction industry, is currently seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Engineer to manage an upcoming Groundworks and Reinforced Concrete (RC) Frame project. This position is on behalf of one of our top clients, a leading contractor known for delivering high-quality construction and engineering projects across the UK.

The Role:

As a Freelance Senior Engineer, your responsibilities will include setting out the project, overseeing junior engineers, and managing the necessary paperwork. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to bring their engineering expertise to a challenging project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing all engineering aspects of Groundworks and RC Frame construction.
• Setting out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring that checks are made on a regular basis.
• Managing a team of engineers, providing guidance, and ensuring high quality of work.
• Monitoring progress, ensuring that work is on schedule and within budget.
• Completing all necessary paperwork, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and project managers.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Significant experience in Groundworks and RC Frame construction.
• Proven experience in a senior engineering role.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in using engineering software, such as AutoCAD.
• Exceptional organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
• CSCS Card and a valid UK driving license.
• SMSTS and First Aid certificates would be advantageous.
