Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers in Milton Keynes is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead RC frame and groundworks on a 6-month project. The role involves coordinating earthworks, setting out, and ensuring AFC drawings are followed on site.

You'll manage site engineers, maintain QA records, and raise RFIs and NCRs as needed while using surveying instruments to verify progress and accuracy.

• Call off materials and concrete as required.
• Call off reinforcement when necessary.
• Raise RFIs, TQs, and NCRs.
• Produce daily site diaries.

Senior Engineer - RC Frame & Groundworks

Location: Milton Keynes

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: Approx. 6 months

Rate: £325 -£350/day based on the experience.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join an RC Frame contractor in Milton Keynes. This role is due to start immediately and will involve a combination of earthworks and reinforced concrete works.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Site Engineers / Setting Out Engineers.
• Provide site engineers with the latest up-to-date information.
• Ensure all works are carried out using the most recent AFC (Approved for Construction) drawings.
• Ensure all QA inspections are completed on time and that appropriate documentation is maintained.
• Ensure engineers carry out all as-built surveys accurately and on schedule.
• Call off materials and concrete as required.
• Call off reinforcement when necessary.
• Raise RFIs, TQs, and NCRs as needed.
• Produce accurate daily site diaries.

Requirements

• A valid CSCS card.
• Previous experience working as a Senior Engineer or Project Engineer for an RC Frame contractor in the UK.
• Strong experience in RC works and groundworks (minimum 3-5 years UK experience).
• Proficiency with surveying instruments.
• Good understanding of method statements, risk assessments, QA procedures, and site paperwork.

Rates are open to negotiation depending on experience.
