Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Site Engineer / Senior Engineer for a major groundworks and RC project in the UK. The role covers setting out, QA, and liaison with the site team on a £500m+ scheme in Bristol, with expectations for either permanent or long-term contracting engagement.

The candidate will work on a multi-disciplinary groundworks project, using GPS and robotic total stations, ensuring design compliance and stringent safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Experience setting out roads, structures and drainage on civil sites.
• Familiar with GPS and Robotic Total Stations for survey work.
• Knowledge of QA standards, health, safety and environmental requirements on site.

Responsibilities

• Setting out roads, structures and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
• Assist with quality control to ensure standards meet design specifications
• Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
• Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards on site adhering to client and business requirements
• Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
• Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
• Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD

Site Engineer / Senior Engineer - Leading Groundworks and RC Contractor - 12Months +

My client is a long established, leading Civil Engineering Contractor.

They are presently delivering a major Groundworks Project which involves some RC elements and forms part of a £500m + project in Bristol.

Additional elements comprise drainage systems and a new car park comprising 2000+ spaces.

The Site Engineer will be responsible for setting out, as-builts and quality assurance.

This phase of the project has a duration of at least 12 months but with the possibility of at least 2-3 years of work.

At this time our client would consider those individuals seeking either permanent or long term contract work.
