Job summary

Gortmore Ltd is seeking a Site Engineer for a Civil project in the Edinburgh area. The role requires hands-on setting out, dimensional control and ensuring works conform to design and specifications.

The candidate should have experience on civils projects (groundworks, drainage, ducting, RC structures) and be proficient with AutoCAD, laser levels, total stations and GPS to manage project information on site.

Qualifications

• Experience on civils projects including groundworks, drainage, ducting, RC structures.
• Proficient with laser levels, total stations and GPS.
• Setting out and dimensional control on site; monitor project information.
• Ensure works meet latest design and specifications.
• Maintain QA and site diary.
• Competent in AutoCAD, reading drawings and quantifying materials.
• Prepare ITPs, KPIs, RFIs.
• Excellent communication and issue escalation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out ITPs, KPIs, RFIs as required.
• Distribute project information to the site team.
• Ensure site works are constructed to design and specifications.
• Maintain project QA and site diary.

Gortmore are working for a leading contractor who are looking for a Site Engineer’s on a Civil’s project in the Edinburgh area.

The Candidate Must

• Have Previous experience working on Civils projects on groundworks, Drainage, Ducting, RC Structures etc.
• Must have excellent Knowledge of, Laser Levels, Total Stations and GPS’s.
• Monitoring, manage, distribute project information to site team and ensure accurate setting out and dimensional control is being carried out.
• Ensure the works are constructed to latest design and agreed Specification.
• Ensure Project QA is being carried out and site diary is maintained.
• Must be competent in Auto Cad, reading drawings and quantifying materials.
• Carry out ITP’s, KPI’s, RFI’s, etc.
• Have excellent communication skills and in distributing project information to work colleagues.
• Have excellent problem-solving capabilities and be able to raise any potential issues
