Job summary

Blue Inn Recruitment is seeking a Senior Engineer RC Frame & Groundworks for an RC Frame contractor in Milton Keynes. The role starts ASAP and runs for approximately 6 months, with a day rate of £325–£350 based on experience.

You will manage Site Engineers, oversee setting out, ensure drawings and QA documentation are up to date, and raise RFIs/TQs/NCRs as needed. Proficiency with surveying instruments and UK RC/groundworks expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• CSCS card required.
• Experience as Senior Engineer or Project Engineer in RC frame contracting.
• Strong background in RC works and groundworks (UK).
• Proficiency with surveying instruments.
• Familiarity with method statements, risk assessments, QA procedures and site paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Manage Site Engineers / Setting Out Engineers.
• Provide site engineers with up-to-date information.
• Ensure drawings are AFC-compliant and QA inspections are on time.
• Ensure accurate as-built surveys and timely documentation.
• Call off materials, concrete, and reinforcement as required.

Senior Engineer RC Frame & Groundworks

Location: Milton Keynes
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: Approx. 6 months
Rate: £325 -£350/day based on the experience.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join an RC Frame contractor in Milton Keynes. This role is due to start immediately and will involve a combination of earthworks and reinforced concrete works.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Site Engineers / Setting Out Engineers.
• Provide site engineers with the latest up-to-date information.
• Ensure all works are carried out using the most recent AFC (Approved for Construction) drawings.
• Ensure all QA inspections are completed on time and that appropriate documentation is maintained.
• Ensure engineers carry out all as-built surveys accurately and on schedule.
• Call off materials and concrete as required.
• Call off reinforcement when necessary.
• Raise RFIs, TQs, and NCRs as needed.
• Produce accurate daily site diaries.

Requirements

To be successful in this Senior Engineer role, you must have:

• A valid CSCS card.
• Previous experience working as a Senior Engineer or Project Engineer for an RC Frame contractor in the UK.
• Strong experience in RC works and groundworks (minimum 3 5 years UK experience).
• Proficiency with surveying instruments.
• Good understanding of method statements, risk assessments, QA procedures, and site paperwork.

Rates are open to negotiation depending on experience.
