Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Senior Energy Engineer to lead energy efficiency and decarbonisation initiatives across the Stevenage campus, reporting to the Energy Programme Manager and coordinating with site operations and third party contractors.

This site-based role will translate programme objectives into practical delivery, oversee commissioning and handover, manage permits to work, monitor energy performance and ensure health, safety and compliance in a live operating environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on fault finding, diagnosis, testing and optimisation of HVAC and building services.
• Ability to analyse plant performance and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain records and performance reports for energy and carbon reduction.
• Coordinate commissioning and handover activities for energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of energy and carbon reduction programmes on site.
• Supervise contractors and ensure safety and environmental standards.
• Manage permit-to-work processes and site safety audits.
• Collaborate with operators, stakeholders and third parties.
• Provide technical oversight during installation and commissioning.
