Job summary

Sovos is hiring a Senior Embedded ISV Sales Engineer to bridge the partner-facing sales team and our compliance platform. You will translate complex capabilities into partner-ready solutions, supporting integration, validation, and scale across the partner lifecycle.

You will lead technical discovery, deliver demos, and provide expert guidance on APIs, authentication, and data flows. Expect travel for partner meetings and workshops in a dynamic, global team.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, technical account management, or pre-sales technical support for enterprise software, SaaS, or embedded/API-led partnerships.
• Comfort engaging with architects, integration leads, and engineering managers, plus commercial/product stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, cloud architecture, and SaaS integration patterns.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language and create demos, docs, and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Embedded ISV team across the full sales cycle, providing technical credibility and platform expertise from outreach to close.
• Lead technical discovery with ISV and BPO partners, assess architecture, integration, and compliance needs.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept support showing how Sovos APIs embed into partner architectures.
• Provide guidance on APIs, authentication, data flows, deployment models, testing environments, SLAs, and platform architecture.
• Maintain knowledge of Sovos' product suite, roadmap, and documentation for pre- and post-sales conversations.
• Contribute to the development of demos, solution diagrams, FAQs, and qualification criteria.
• Maintain records of technical engagements and partner health in CRM and tracking tools.
