Job summary

Sovos is recruiting a Senior Embedded ISV Sales Engineer to partner with ISVs and BPOs worldwide, serving as the technical bridge between the partner-facing sales team and Sovos' compliance platform. You will translate complex capabilities into partner-ready solutions and help evaluate, integrate, and scale APIs within partner architectures.

The role requires strong communication, architecture knowledge, and experience with APIs, OAuth, and cloud SaaS patterns.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, or pre-sales for enterprise software/SaaS.
• Ability to engage technical stakeholders without requiring hands-on coding.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, authentication (OAuth, API keys), cloud architecture and SaaS integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Embedded ISV and BPO teams across the full sales cycle from outreach to close.
• Lead technical discovery, assess platform architecture, integration approach and compliance requirements.
• Deliver product demos, technical presentations, and PoC support showing Sovos APIs and platform integration.
• Provide guidance on APIs, authentication, data flows, deployment models, testing environments, SLAs, and architecture.
• Maintain knowledge of Sovos product suite, roadmap, and documentation for pre- and post-sales conversations.
• Contribute to technical sales assets like demo environments, diagrams, FAQs, and qualification criteria.
• Maintain records of technical engagements and partner health in CRM and trackers in coordination with sales plans.
