Job summary

Sovos is hiring a Senior Embedded ISV Sales Engineer to bridge the gap between partner-facing sales and our compliance platform. You will translate complex capabilities into partner-ready solutions and drive engagement across ISV and BPO ecosystems.

You will demonstrate Sovos APIs, guide integration discussions, and support technical qualification while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable successful partner implementations.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, or pre-sales in enterprise software.
• Ability to engage technical stakeholders without requiring hands-on coding.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and cloud architectures.
• Experience with AI-assisted workflows is a plus.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across Sales, Solution Architecture, Product Management, Support, Professional Services, and Engineering.
• Willingness to travel for partner meetings and events.
• Background check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Embedded ISV team across the full sales cycle, from outreach through close.
• Lead technical discovery with ISV and BPO partners, translating findings into a technical fit assessment.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and POC support.
• Provide expert guidance on APIs, authentication, data flows, deployment models, testing environments, SLAs, and architecture.
• Maintain working knowledge of Sovos’ product suite, roadmap, and documentation.
• Contribute to development of technical sales assets, including demos, diagrams, FAQs, and qualification criteria.
• Maintain accurate records of technical engagements in CRM and partner tools.
