Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to shape electrical functions across lifecycle projects for water treatment schemes in the UK. You will contribute from concept to commissioning, ensuring robust designs for MCCs, LV systems, cabling and PLC/SCADA networks.

The role emphasizes delivering high-quality outputs, collaborating with clients and teams, and driving improvements in design, sustainability, and digital tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (IET or equivalent).
• Experience with wastewater or water infrastructure projects is desirable.
• Ability to deliver high quality outputs in line with design, quality and safety standards.
• Strong communication with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical designs for water treatment equipment.
• Work with MCCs, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation and industrial networks.
• Produce specifications and procurement schedules; review bids and submissions.
• Apply design standards and defend solutions to complex problems.
• Identify delivery improvements and develop standard designs and digital tools.
• Act as technical checker and coordinate interfaces with other disciplines.
