Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to shape electrical design across water treatment projects within the UK. You will contribute from concept to commissioning, ensuring safety, quality and performance while working on MCCs, LV distribution, cabling, PLCs and SCADA systems.

Based in the Yorkshire/UK water market, you will mentor graduates and engineers, review specifications, and support client relationships to deliver robust, sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Chartered or incorporated member of professional institution (ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering high-quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards.
• Water industry experience.
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing electrical engineering designs for water treatment equipment on client sites; working with MCCs, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation, PLCs and SCADA.
• Producing and reviewing technical specifications and procurement-related documents; reviewing supplier bids and technical submissions.
• Supervising and mentoring graduates and engineers to develop knowledge and skills.
• Understanding and applying design standards with knowledge of Client and WIMES standards.
• Positively engaging with the client, building relationships and supporting them to achieve their aims.
