Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across water and wastewater projects from feasibility through to commissioning. You will shape electrical functions, ensure compliance with standards, and integrate with other disciplines on major schemes across the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering and CEng status or progressing towards chartership.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience delivering high-quality outputs under design, quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning and execution of electrical engineering on projects.
• Provide design support and ensure designs are fit for purpose and compliant.
• Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop safe, practical solutions.
• Engage with clients and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Coordinate interfaces with process design and other disciplines; produce documentation.
• Mentor engineers and develop resources for projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery through standard designs and digital tools.
• Conduct site reviews to ensure buildability and integration.
