Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking an Electrical Engineer to shape electrical functions from concept to commissioning on UK water projects. You will work on MCCs, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation, and SCADA, ensuring designs align with standards and client briefs.

Travel to sites across the regional footprint is expected. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, produce procurement specs, review bids, and support commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Working towards IEng / CEng with a relevant Engineering Institution is expected.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Methodical approach to problem solving.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical engineering designs for water treatment equipment on client sites.
• Coordinate with the multidisciplinary design team to meet brief, programme and budget.
• Produce technical specifications and schedules for procurement activities; review bids and submissions.
• Create URS for control systems; review FDS and attend factory acceptance tests.
• Review existing installed systems and interface via site visits and reports.
• Engage with the client and manage relationships to support their aims.
