Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for Data Centre projects in the UK. The role involves delivering electrical designs for data centre facilities and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure best-in-class outcomes.

The ideal candidate has post-graduate data centre experience, strong software tool proficiency (ETAP, Relux/Dialux, MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit) and a Chartered/CEng pathway. Hybrid work options and international travel may apply.

Qualifications

• Post graduate experience in a building services design role with focus on data centres.
• Conversant with ETAP, Relux/Dialux, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Familiar with regulations, standards and industry good practice, able to produce designs for all stages of RIBA plan of work and supervise on site.
• Ability to take initiative under guidance.
• Full clean driving licence and passport; travel to projects regionally and internationally when required.
• Security clearance will be required for some projects.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering (building services bias preferred).
• Member of IET or CIBSE; CEng accredited or working towards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the electrical delivery on small to mid-sized projects.
• Provide specialised technical input to studies and design for staff’s area of expertise.
• Manage own workload and meet deadlines.
• Be a self-starter who can use initiative and solve problems.
• Present technical solutions to clients and peers.
• Support development of technical proposals.
• Attend design team and coordination meetings as required.
• Attend site inspection meetings as required.
• Liaise with clients, professional bodies, contractors, suppliers and other design team members.
