Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for its Data Centre team in the UK. You will lead electrical design delivery for data centres, collaborating with building services and other disciplines to ensure robust, innovative solutions.

You should have postgraduate data centre experience, strong software proficiency (ETAP, Relux/Dialux, AutoCAD, Revit) and be ready to travel as needed. AECOM supports flexible hybrid-working arrangements and career development.

Qualifications

• Post graduate experience in a building services design role with focus on data centres.
• Familiar with regulations, standards and industry best practice; able to produce designs for all RIBA stages.
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Security clearance will be required to work on some projects; able to obtain.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering and CEng status or active progression towards it.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage electrical delivery on small to mid-sized data centre projects.
• Provide specialist input to studies and design within your area of expertise.
• Manage own workload and meet deadlines for assigned tasks.
• Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving in design delivery.
• Present technical solutions to clients and peers.
• Contribute to development of technical proposals and bid documents.
• Attend design team and coordination meetings as required.
• Attend site inspections and supervision activities as required.
