Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Data Centre) to lead electrical design delivery for data centre projects in the UK, with hybrid working options. The role requires Chartered status or working towards it, strong collaboration across disciplines and the ability to manage multiple small to mid-sized projects.

The ideal candidate has postgraduate electrical building services experience, familiarity with ETAP/Relux/Dialux/MS Project/AutoCAD/Revit, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate experience in a building services design role with focus on data centres.
• Familiar with ETAP, Relux/Dialux, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit software.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably with a building services bias.
• Member of IET or CIBSE and CEng accreditation or working towards.
• Full driving licence and passport; willingness to travel UK and internationally.
• Security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the electrical delivery on small to mid-sized data centre projects.
• Provide technical input to studies and designs within area of expertise.
• Manage workload and meet deadlines; take initiative and solve problems.
• Present technical solutions to clients and peers; contribute to proposals.
• Attend design team coordination meetings and site inspections as required.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and other design team members.

Education

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (building services bias)
