Job summary

GM Performance Power Units in the United Kingdom seeks a senior engineer to lead cross-disciplinary teams for MGU development within a hybrid powertrain. You will oversee prototype development, dynamometer testing, and data-driven iterations to deliver race-ready e-motor solutions that meet FIA F1 regulations.

Responsibilities include design reviews, FMEA, and maintaining documentation and safety interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with rotor-stator integration and high-speed motors.
• FIA F1 knowledge and experience with power unit regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-disciplinary teams—electromagnetics, mechanical, thermal, controls, and manufacturing—to integrate the MGU.
• Oversee prototype development and dynamometer testing programs.
• Direct design reviews, FMEA, and FIA regulatory compliance.
