Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant to lead environmental inputs to EIA projects across the UK. You will manage studies from screening to Environmental Statements, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and guide clients through complex permitting.

You will work within our Environmental Impact team, travel as needed, and shape sustainable infrastructure while mentoring junior staff and contributing to business development.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary environmental inputs to infrastructure projects.
• Degree in an environmental discipline; professional membership often beneficial.
• Chartered Environmentalist status and mentoring interest advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental inputs to EIA screening, scoping, and Environmental Statements.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate resources and budgets within project teams.
• Collaborate with design teams to improve environmental outcomes.
• Manage client relationships and internal supply chains.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
