Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant to lead EIA projects across a national team with hybrid working options. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary environmental inputs, managing assessments and statements, and driving high-quality deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

You will engage with stakeholders, lead technical reviews, and contribute to business development while supporting flexible travel across offices and sites in the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental discipline (prefer Masters); professional membership desirable.
• Chartered Environmentalist status advantageous for progression.
• Willingness to travel and work flexibly across projects and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide Expertise: manage environmental inputs to EIA screening, scoping, and Environmental Statements across project life cycles.
• Ensure Quality: deliverables adhere to high standards and QA procedures.
• Project Management: manage resources and budgets with support.
• Collaborate: work within integrated design teams to improve environmental outcomes and mitigation solutions.
• Client Contact: manage client relationships and internal teams.
• Growth: identify and pursue business development opportunities and fee/proposal work.
