Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to support EIA screening, scoping and environmental statements across UK projects. You will work with a national team, coordinate inputs from specialist teams, and ensure high-quality environmental deliverables.

The role offers hybrid working options, exposure to large-scale infrastructure projects, and opportunities to grow with a global environmental services leader.

Qualifications

• A degree in an environmental discipline (preferably Masters) and a professional membership.
• EIA consultancy experience, coordinating environmental reports and reviewing chapters.
• Understanding of relevant consenting regimes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with specialist teams.
• Developing project management skills including programming and budgeting.
• Commitment to innovation and continuing professional development.
• Experience with DCO and/or TWAO regimes would be beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written reporting skills with stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate environmental inputs to EIA screening, scoping and Environmental Statements across project life cycles.
• Review specialist chapters and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Develop and manage project resources and budgets within a design team.
• Collaborate with design teams to improve environmental outcomes and mitigation.
• Engage directly with clients and internal supply teams; support business development.
