Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to coordinate environmental inputs to EIA processes, prepare Environmental Statements, and support project delivery. You will engage with multi-disciplinary teams, manage workloads, and ensure high-quality outputs across UK projects.

You will work within a flexible hybrid model, liaising with clients and internal teams, and contribute to business development for environmental services.

Qualifications

• Degree in an environmental discipline (Masters preferred) with a professional membership.
• EIA consultancy experience including coordinating environmental reports and reviews.
• Understanding of relevant consenting regimes and approvals.
• Ability to collaborate within a design team and coordinate specialist inputs.
• Developing project management skills and budget awareness.
• Commitment to innovation and continuing professional development.
• Experience with DCO and/or TWAO regimes is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong verbal and written reporting skills for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate environmental inputs to EIA screening, scoping and Environmental Statements.
• Review and develop technical chapters and supporting documents.
• Work across project life cycles from strategy to construction and operation.
• Collaborate with integrated design teams to identify constraints and mitigation solutions.
• Maintain client contact and coordinate with internal supply teams.
• Support business development and proposals for environmental services.
