WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant to lead environmental contributions across transport infrastructure projects.

You will coordinate planning applications, EIA, GRIP stages, and support DCO examinations while guiding junior colleagues and managing client relationships. This role offers hybrid working across the UK and the chance to influence major projects with a diverse, inclusive team.

Qualifikationen

• Relevant environmental degree level qualification in EIA or similar.
• Working towards Practitioner or Chartered Environmental Status and IEMA membership.
• Familiarity with planning and consenting processes for transport projects (HRA, Environmental Permit, EIA).
• Ability to coordinate tasks across technical teams, clients and stakeholders within budget and timelines.
• Experience in bid preparation and client change requests with appropriate fee adjustments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to quality.

Aufgaben

• Lead and coordinate environmental inputs into transport projects (planning, EIA, DCO support).
• Recruitment, bidding, project delivery, and financial management responsibilities.
• Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders, identify opportunities, and support strategy development.
• Promote innovative techniques (Digital EIA, Future Ready EIA) and upskill juniors.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and uphold inclusion and wellbeing values.
