Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland seeks a Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant in Resilient Infrastructure to lead environmental inputs for transport projects across the UK. You will coordinate planning applications, EIA and Environmental Statements, working with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will contribute to bid development, client relations and project delivery while mentoring junior staff and upholding health, safety and wellbeing standards in a collaborative culture. Hybrid working available.

Qualifications

• Environmental degree required and relevant professional body membership or progress toward it.
• Familiar with planning, EIA and HRA processes for transport projects.
• Ability to coordinate across technical teams, clients and stakeholders.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary projects with on-time, on-budget delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental inputs into transport projects (planning, EIA, DCO support).
• Coordinate bid preparation, client engagement and fee adjustments.
• Manage project teams, recruitment, budgeting and delivery schedules.
• Develop innovative approaches to Digital EIA and environmental design.
