Job summary

Stone King LLP is seeking a qualified solicitor to join our national Education team. You will advise on corporate transactions and education sector projects, coach juniors, and help grow the firm’s footprint with independent schools and educational bodies.

Based in one of our nationwide offices with hybrid working, you will collaborate with sector specialists, drive business development, and deliver strategic, high-quality legal services to a prestigious client base across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience working on corporate or education M&A transactions.
• Experience supervising and developing other team members.
• Proactive business development and marketing with revenue generation.
• Well-organised, technically proficient and a leader.
• Excellent communication, handling difficult conversations promptly.
• Experience managing projects across teams with good financial hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects, transactions and strategic initiatives with exceptional client service.
• Meet or exceed time recording, monitor performance, budgets and profitability.
• Build and strengthen long-term client relationships and identify new business.
• Advise education sector clients on corporate transactions and M&A.
• Supervise, mentor and delegate to junior colleagues.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver integrated, sector-focused advice.
• Lead business development activities: networking, pitches, seminars, tenders.
• Contribute to strategic growth by identifying new markets and opportunities.
• Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
• Maintain high standards of service and technical excellence.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
• Stay updated on legal developments via CPD and knowledge sharing.
