Jacobs is hiring a Senior Ecologist to join the UK Ecology Team across multiple offices. The role combines desk and site-based work, delivering protected species surveys, impact assessments and biodiversity gains on major infrastructure projects.

You’ll lead survey programmes, manage teams, and provide expert ecological guidance to clients and stakeholders while pursuing career advancement across technical and management paths.

Qualifications

• Background in terrestrial ecology with significant years relevant industry experience.
• Full membership of a professional body (or plans to obtain).
• Experience leading ecological inputs on medium-large scale projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Bringing technical insight, strategic thinking and high-quality delivery on projects.
• Leading ecological input on infrastructure projects including water, highways and rail schemes.
• Designing monitoring programmes and coordinating survey teams.
• Providing expert advice to clients and stakeholders and mentoring others.
