Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Ecologist to join its UK Ecology Team. You will contribute to terrestrial ecology projects across multiple offices, delivering high-quality ecological inputs for large infrastructure schemes.

The role combines desk work with field surveys and requires strong communication and project delivery skills. Ideally you will have a solid background in terrestrial ecology, full professional body membership, and the ability to mentor others within multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Background in terrestrial ecology with significant industry experience.
• Experience leading ecological inputs on medium to large projects.
• Outstanding written and verbal skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Delivering challenging, diverse infrastructure projects (water, highways, rail).
• Desk and site-based ecological work.
• Lead or participate in ecological monitoring programmes and surveys.
• Provide expert ecological advice to clients and stakeholders.
