Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Ecologist for its UK Ecology Team, with opportunities across nationwide locations including Reading. You will deliver high-quality ecological inputs across major infrastructure projects, combining desk and site work while mentoring others and contributing to biodiversity gains.

The role offers flexible patterns: permanent full-time or part-time, with hybrid working across Jacobs offices and project sites.

Qualifications

• Background in terrestrial ecology with significant industry experience.
• Full membership of a professional body (or capability to obtain full membership).
• Experience leading ecological inputs on medium-large scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver challenging, diverse infrastructure projects.
• Combination of desk- and site-based tasks.
• Lead ecological monitoring programmes and manage survey teams.
• Provide expert advisory input to clients and stakeholders.
