Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join our growing Ecology Team in the UK. You will work with our Principal Ecologist across a varied portfolio, conducting surveys, designing mitigation, and contributing ecological input to multidisciplinary teams.

A UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required. At senior level you will mentor junior ecologists, take on complex projects, and have autonomy supported by a dedicated team and opportunities for training and

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc in Ecology or a related environmental discipline.
• Solid consultancy experience with UK/EU wildlife legislation.
• Protected species survey licence for at least one species (e.g., bats or great crested newts).
• Ability to mentor junior ecologists and manage projects/budgets.

• Design and implement mitigation and enhancement measures.
