Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join our growing Ecology Team in the UK. You will work with our Principal Ecologist on a varied portfolio, conduct surveys, design mitigation, obtain licences, and contribute to multidisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• BSc in Ecology or related environmental discipline with consultancy experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK and EU wildlife legislation and policy.
• Holder of a protected species survey licence for at least one species.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys and assessments across diverse projects.
• Design and implement mitigation and enhancement measures.
• Apply for and obtain protected species licences; contribute to licensing processes.
• Mentor junior ecologists and support senior team members in complex work.
