GM Performance Power Units seeks a senior engineer to lead the MGU integration into the hybrid powertrain, ensuring peak performance and reliability for Formula 1. You will head cross-disciplinary teams spanning electromagnetics, mechanical design, thermal, controls, and manufacturing, guiding prototyping and testing to race-ready solutions.

The role demands hands-on expertise with high-speed electric motors, rotor-stator systems, and reliability-driven development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in high-speed electric motors or powertrains preferred.
• Hands-on motorsport prototyping and dynamometer testing a plus.

Responsabilités

• Lead cross-disciplinary teams to integrate and optimize the MGU within the hybrid powertrain.
• Oversee prototype development, dynamometer testing, and data-driven iterations guiding engineering functions to race-ready solutions.
• Direct design reviews, FMEA processes, and FIA F1 regulation compliance for MGU power, weight, and safety interfaces.
• Drive research into advanced materials and manufacturing for scalable, high-quality e-motor production.
