Job summary

Wates is seeking a Senior Document Controller in the UK to support digital information across project lifecycles. You will ensure data accuracy, compliance, and accessibility in line with ISO 19650 and CDE practices.

You will collaborate with internal teams, consultants, suppliers and clients to maintain a robust Golden Thread of information. You will manage document control processes, monitor compliance, and lead information management activities across digital and hard copy systems, including

Qualifications

• Proven experience in document control and information management within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of Common Data Environment (CDE) management and administration.
• Understanding of document control processes across digital and hard copy systems.
• Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and digital construction principles.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 and information management best practice.
• Awareness of information security principles in construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Track information deliverables against Task Information Delivery Plans and identify non-compliance.
• Establish and monitor information exchange processes, including file naming and information standards.
• Act as the key contact for project information management and CDE support.
• Configure and maintain project reporting using data on information compliance, RFIs and technical submissions.
• Support implementation and administration of Common Data Environments (CDEs).
• Carry out information and data quality checks to ensure compliance and consistency.
• Collaborate with project teams to maintain accurate, compliant digital records throughout delivery.
