Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to champion deployment architecture, modernising on-premise systems with a Kubernetes platform rollout. You will own CI/CD pipelines, guardrails, and migration strategies to enable rapid, safe production delivery.

The role involves collaborating with Engineering and TechOps to shape self-service workflows, implement standards, and drive phased containerisation of workloads while maintaining platform stability.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Experience with Ansible roles, inventories, vault, and idempotency.
• Production experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
• Solid networking fundamentals.
• Scripting ability in Bash and Python.
• Hands-on with GitOps tooling (ArgoCD or Flux).
• Observability tooling experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager).
• Pragmatic, iterative delivery mindset with security awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes deployments.
• Collaborate with TechOps to shape self-service workflows and guardrails.
• Define and implement Kubernetes primitives, RBAC, and resource policies.
• Standardize namespace configurations for ingress, RBAC, and secrets management.
• Drive containerisation and migration of workloads to Kubernetes in phased steps.
• Create and maintain runbooks, templates, and developer self-service docs.
