Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own deployment architecture and champion a modern Kubernetes platform. You will shape, configure, and roll out our on-premise infrastructure while driving CI/CD, guardrails, and safe delivery of value to production.

In this hands-on role, work within engineering teams to modernize deployment, monitor health, and build self-service tooling; you’ll influence platform standards and lead phased migrations to Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a people-first culture.
• Extensive experience with Ansible: roles, inventories, vault, idempotency, etc.
• Production experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Strong scripting ability in Bash and Python.
• Experience with GitOps tooling: ArgoCD or Flux.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager).
• Ability to plan pragmatically and deliver iteratively within existing stack.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes deployments.
• Collaborate with TechOps to define platform design and self-service workflows.
• Develop deployment runbooks, templates, and self-service guides for engineers.
• Drive migration of workloads to Kubernetes with phased, safe rollout.
• Create and maintain robust deployment pipelines and guarding rules.
