Job summary

Centric Talent is seeking a Senior DevOps & Systems Engineer to own and evolve the infrastructure estate across Linux and Microsoft environments in the UK. The role is hands-on, with responsibility for reliability, security and automation, working with software development, IT operations and external partners.

You will drive monitoring, disaster recovery and documentation efforts while building resilient CI/CD pipelines and scalable container platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, systems administration, or a similar role.
• Experience across Linux and Windows server estates.
• Proven ability to own complex problems with limited supervision.
• Experience setting up automation, monitoring, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Administer and improve Linux and Windows server environments.
• Provision and configure virtual machines, services, and supporting infrastructure.
• Deploy and configure applications and infrastructure components.
• Monitor health, performance, availability and security of systems.
• Investigate incidents and performance issues; resolve root causes.
• Design monitoring, alerting and logging for new systems.
• Manage configuration automation with Ansible and IaC tooling.
• Administer Kubernetes clusters and containerised workloads.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and software deployment with DevOps practices.
• Maintain patching, security configurations and vulnerability remediation.
